Carrier furnace blower speed adjustment.
Your furnace elements have a certain wattage.
Every furnace must have an adjustable blower.
It will not change heating or cooling fan speeds.
Your furnace shows that you have an ecm motor which is an electronically controlled motor.
Turn it off again for 1 3 seconds and back on.
With no call for heat or cool turn your circulation fan to on.
There should be low voltage speed taps on the main board for speed adjustments in cooling and heating.
Then switch the jumper to your desired speed.
Blower fan speed adjustment options fan speeds provided inside the air handler unit may be set or adjusted by the remote control for a wall mounted split system air conditioner or heat pump changing the fan wire connection between the fan on relay and the fan motor selecting a high medium or low speed right on the fan motor itself.
Thermostat fan control on old furnace without circuit board.
Low speed furnace fan blower motor will not shut off.
This only affects the fan in circulation mode.
Consult your blower s owners manual to determine what your furnace blower s speed should be.
That should bump the fan speed up one level doing so each time will increase one speed until it cycles back to low.
Usually there will be three speeds ranging from 40 to 100 of airflow.
Most of these are on the bottom left of the control board.
Adjusting the fan speed for the furnace is not something to do just because you want it quieter or to save electricity.
Your installer should know how to change speeds if he set the furnace up properly.
In many cases our carrier high efficiency furnaces also include technology that can produce enhanced comfort benefits and quieter operation as well.
Step 1 turn off the power source that is connected to the furnace blower.
Step 2 carefully disconnect the wires from the coolant terminal which is located on the back of the unit.
