The best way to use this mixture to clean carpet with vinegar is to sprinkle the baking soda on the stain first. The baking soda should fizzle and bubble. You want to make sure to not rub the stain in. Stir in 1 2 cup of water followed by 3 tablespoons of vinegar and continue mixing to combine the ingredients and get rid of any lumps.

Stir the mixture with a fork until any lumps dissolve. Pouring vinegar on top of baking soda creates a much less controllable reaction than pouring in the proper order. When it is sprayed on it will begin to foam up. For stains and using the peroxide too dab and gently rub the area.
